National Autism Awareness Month
In order to highlight the growing need for concern and awareness about autism, the Autism Society has been celebrating National Autism Awareness Month since the 1970s. The United States recognizes the month of April as a special opportunity for everyone to educate the public about autism and issues within the autism community.
As a result, The Worth Police Department is announcing an update to our website which includes an Autism Emergency Contact Form (PDF) that may be printed, filled out and dropped off at the Worth Police Station. This form is designed to give the Worth Police Officers some critical information about the Village's Autistic citizens and will also aid the Department in efficiently responding to calls for service.
