APPLICATION FOR POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER

    APPLICATIONS

Applications for Police Officer examination are available at the Office of the Village Clerk located at 7112 W. 111th Street, Worth, Illinois.  Hours are, Monday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Tuesday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  Completed applications must be returned no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2007.  A $25.00 non-refundable fee must be paid at the time of obtaining the application.  Orientation is November 30th, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Worth Village Hall.  Written and physical agility test is December 1, 2007.  Check in is at 8:30 a.m. with the written test to follow.

 

SALARY & BENEFITS

Starting salary is $40,678.25.  Benefits include: hospitalization, life insurance, uniform allowance, paid vacation, sick days and pension plan.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Proof of minimum age of 21 and maximum age of 35.  High School Diploma or equivalent, valid Driver’s License, a U.S. citizen.  Applicant must pass agility, written, oral, physical, psychological examination and polygraph test.
