Resident Josephine Magic of 10623 S. Plahm Ct. questioned where the handicapped parking spaces are in the Village Hall lot?  Clerk Price stated the two handicapped spots are between the hall and police department doors near the ramp. Mrs. Magic stated Public Works did some work on the last Monday in October in front of her driveway and due to the work that they did they busted the clay tiles.  On December 22, 2006 the plumbing backed up and Mrs. Magic called the Village Hall the girl said everyone has gone home and there will be no one in until Tuesday.  Mrs. Magic stated she incurred a bill for $1,400 from one plumber and $380 from another plumber.  Mrs. Magic stated the first plumber only had 80 feet on coil and was unable to unplug it.  The plumber told her that he heard a clicking noise and that the Village must have broken the clay tiles.

Mrs. Magic stated she called the police department and the police department stated Public Works would be out in the morning.  Mrs. Magic stated she was desperate as she had company coming for the holidays.  Mrs. Magic stated she and her 91 year old mother are on fixed incomes and wants the Village to consider reimbursing her since she did not cause the problem.  President Guzdziol stated Public Works will investigate this problem.  Mrs. Magic stated the she had heard that if she had called the Village the Village would have taken care of it, but she thought that it was her problem.  Trustee Adamski stated that Mrs. Magic did the right thing by calling a plumber, they may charge a lot but they always do the right thing.  Trustee Adamski stated that our Public Works guys are wonderful and if the Village damaged the tiles then the Village would be responsible.  President Guzdziol stated the Village does not know if the plumber damaged the tiles.

Resident Jack McGrath stated on Ridgeland between 107th and 110th Street, six streetlights are out.

Mr. McGrath questioned President Guzdziol on the overpayment of his salary.  President Guzdziol stated he paychecks never exceeded his annual salary.

Resident Dave Clark stated Highland Terrace is still allowing their debris to blow all over the neighborhood.  Mr. Clark inquired on the progress of the TIF property with the fire damage at Paul Supply.  President Guzdziol stated the buyers did not want to negotiate with Mr. Kaplan until the property had a no further remediation letter from the state.

Resident Roger Kocian questioned the type of wall that IDOT will be constructing on the tollway.  President Guzdziol stated IDOT has stated the walls will be concrete and not wood.

Trustee Rhein moved seconded by Trustee Adamski to adjourn the regular meeting at 8:03 p.m.  A voice vote followed. Motion carried.
