President Guzdziol called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll call indicated that the following trustees were present: Becky Alcala, Randy Keller, Mary Rhein (arrived at 6:38 p.m.), Sally Hartz, Kevin Werner and Barb Adamski. Also in attendance at the meeting were Attorney Paul Stephanides, and Deputy Clerk Lauren Placek,. Beth Ruhle of Ehlers & Associates gave a presentation on the purpose of a TIF District and the proposed Worth TIF District. Mayor Guzdziol gave an overview of the Joint Review Board Meeting. Resident Dennis Ferguson questioned where the representative from the Illinois Tollway and why is this proposed TIF is going to be industrial? Beth Ruhle stated the TIF District is named by boundaries and the Illinois Tollway is not involved in the TIF District. Resident George Zeman questioned the number of residences in the TIF District as 75? Resident Roy Uher, whose home is in the TIF District, questioned the issue of eminent domain? What is the guarantee that eminent domain will not be used in the future for residential properties? Resident Ed Toppel, questioned whether eminent domain will be used for residential properties? President Guzdziol stated it is the position of this Village Board not to use eminent domain for residential properties. Written comments from Ed Toppel were entered into record. Trustee Alcala moved seconded by Trustee Adamski to adjourn the TIF Meeting at 7:17 p.m. A voice vote followed. Motion carried. _______________________________________ Lauren G. Placek Deputy Clerk |
