The Village Board meeting scheduled for this evening, Feb 1,
is cancelled due to the extreme weather conditions.
An Emergency Warming Center / Shelter is located at Shepard High
School at 13049 S. Ridgeland Ave in Palos Heights, IL, The Red
Cross will be operating the shelter and it will begin operation
at 6:00 PM today.
Comed Power Outages are best reported by the home / business
owner. If you are without means to contact Comed, contact us
at the station and supply us with the home / business owner's
name and address on the account.
Worth School District 127 will be closed Feb 2nd 2011
Worth Village Hall closed Feb 2nd 2011.
Worth Township will be closed Feb 2nd 2011.
There will be no garbage pickup Wednesday Feb 2nd 2011. Garbage
pickup resumes on Thursday Feb 3rd and will be a day behind for
the duration of the week.
During this storm we ask the public to refrain from traveling,
if possible. If necessary to drive, dress warm and use extreme
caution.
Emergency Crash Reporting Plan in effect. Drivers for minor property
damage accidents please exchange information and both parties
involved come into the station on Thursday Feb 3rd to complete
the accident report.
