Children
being transported in a motor vehicle who are
under the age of 8 years must be transported
only in a child restraint system meeting the
standards of the United States Department of
Transportation.
Children
transported in a motor vehicle who are 8 years
of age or more, must be secured in a certified
child restraint system or a seatbelt.
Passengers
of 16 or 17 years of age must be restrained in
a safety belt when the driver of the vehicle
they are riding in is under 18 years of age.
Members of the Worth Police Department do stop and enforce
child restraint systems as well as the regular use of seatbelts
checks.
