Block party permit application
|
To request permission for a block
party, you may write a letter to the Village Clerk specifying the
date, time and location of the party. The Village Clerk will bring your request to
the Village Board. If approved,
you will receive written notification from the Clerk’s office and
Public Works will provide barricades for the street closure.

Disposal of old appliances,
tires, construction and demolition debris
|
Our waste carrier, Allied Waste,
picks up old appliances. The service is provided on your scheduled service day. Freon must be removed from all refrigerators
and all doors must be removed from the appliances.

Disposal of yard waste, leaves,
brush and branches
|
Our waste carrier, Allied Waste,
schedules yard waste pick up from April 1st through November
30th (weather permitting). Yard waste must be placed in the proper yard
waste bags (available at the Village Hall, 5 for $1.75) or container
(no larger than 32 gallons) at the end of the curb on the scheduled
service day. The container must be clearly marked YARD WASTE
(stickers available at no charge at the Village Hall). Branches that are put out for service must
be in 4 foot lengths and bundled.
The bundle must weigh less than 50 pounds.
The larger branches can be picked up by the Public Works
chipper service.

Garbage disposal and collection
|
Allied Waste Services provides
the garbage, yard waste and recycling removal needs for Worth.
Allied Waste will bill the household directly for the removal
on a by-yearly basis. All garbage must be placed at the end of the
driveway or curb on the scheduled pick up day.
The garbage needs to be out no later than 6:00 a.m. on the
scheduled service day.

Recycling information
|
Recycling must be placed in recycling
bags or a container clearly marked recycling (the container can
be no larger than 32 gallons), and placed at the curb on your service
day. Abtibi Paper Recyclers are available at the Village Hall
parking lot.

Hazardous Waste
|
There is an annual household hazardous
waste day sponsored by various agencies. Watch for flyers announcing the dates available.

Water bill payment
|
Payment can be made at the Clerk’s
office, Monday through Saturday. Mastercard, Discover and Visa are available. Electronic Funds Transfer service is also available.
A drop box is also available in the parking lot of the Village Hall.

Winter
parking regulations
|
|
It
shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand, park or leave
unattended a motor vehicle on the streets, highways or roadways
within the corporate limits of the village after two inches (2”)
of snow has fallen, until such snow has been removed.
The operator and the owner of any motor vehicle stopped,
standing, parked or left unattended in violation of this subsection
shall be jointly and severally liable for the violation.
