The Village of Worth receives its water from the City of Chicago. Please register with the Water Department in the Village Hall prior to moving into your new residence. You should also contact the Water Department should you move out of the village to obtain a water certification and final payment. The Village of Worth has installed a new pumping station located at the Public Works Department. Water is tested monthly for safe drinking standards. Water and sewer bills are mailed every month.

The Village Hall receives payment of water bills through cash, check, credit or debit cards, electronic funds transfer or online. The online payment link is on the home page. Payment can also be made at the Worth Currency Exchange, 7101 W. 111th Street for a small fee.

ATTENTION
Effective January 1, 2012 our water supplier, The City of Chicago, will beincreasing their water rates by 25%. Unfortunately, this Increase will be passed on to our Worth watercustomers as well. There will also be an additional $2.00/month charge that will be used for Worth infrastructure replacement and /or repairs.

CONSERVE! CONSERVE! CONSERVE!
With the increase in our water rates taking effect on January 1, we strongly urge you to practice water conservation. Use the following ideas:
* A hose timer
* Water restricting hose nozzle
* Low flow shower head
* A shower timer
* Toilet flapper
* Leak Detection Tablets
* Toilet tank bank--a toilet tank water displacement pouch
* 4-quart fill cycle diverter that helps save water after flushing the toilet
* Swivel low-flow kitchen aerator
* bathroon sink aerators
