The Village of Worth is hosting our annual Worth Days Festival being held on the following dates:

 

Thursday, September 8th,                  Friday, September 9th,

Saturday, September 10th                   Sunday, September 11th.

 

The Worth Days Festival is being held at 7425 West 115th, just west of Harlem Ave and Water’s Edge Golf Course. The Festival features free parking, free admission, free petting zoo, free pony rides, free entertainment, BINGO, a spectacular carnival and a beer garden.

 

Worth Days Festival Hours of Operation

Thursday, September 8th  5 p.m. to 10 p.m.       Friday, September 9th   5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday, September 10th 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.    Sunday, September 11th 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

 

Craft/merchant exhibits must be opened at all times during the Festival hours of operation. Set up time will be Wednesday evening after 4 p.m. or Thursday morning after 7 a.m. Vendors, crafters and merchants must check in no later than 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2005. Vendors, crafters and merchants will be sent a confirmation packet with a parking pass, instructions, booth location/number, and any last minute details.

 

Crafter’s Row/Merchant’s Lane

Each merchant will be assigned a number where there will be a 10’x 10’ area for display. Crafter’s Row/Merchant’s Lane is located by many of the main attractions such as the Food Tent, BINGO Tent and Children’s Entertainment Center. Applicants will be assigned a designated space(s) at the discretion of the Grounds Committee.

 

Water and Electrical Needs

Water and Electrical power will be available. All crafters/merchants will have access to a water source but not individual hoses. All vendors must provide their own water and storage receptacles. Electrical power will also be provided for a fee. HOWEVER, YOUR NEEDS MUST BE SPECIFIC. We must know your electrical needs in advance. No halogen lighting will be allowed. Please refer to the application for any additional specifications and fees. All propane-based equipment must be secured and properly fastened. Crafters/merchants are allowed to bring their own generators. All crafters/merchants are responsible to bring their own equipment including tables, chairs, counters, table coverings, etc.** All equipment must comply with the Village of Worth regulations.

 

Exclusives

No crafter/merchant has the right to any exclusive product or service. Spectacular Midways has obtained the exclusive right to sell cotton candy and buttered popcorn. The Worth American Legion reserves the right exclusively to sell hot dogs. Worth Days Commission has obtained the exclusive right to sell glow necklaces. No crafter/merchant has the right to sell alcoholic beverages.

 

 

 

Crafter/Merchant Fees for Worth Days Festival 2005

$25.00             Electrical Hook-up Maximum output 10amps/110volts

$25.00             per each additional 10amps/110volts utilized.

$50.00             Late fee for Electrical Hook-up on Festival dates.

 

Full payment is due at time of application. Excluding the additional power fee. Electric will be provided during the hours of operation. No overnight power will be available.

 

Payment

Payments must be made by business check, certified check, cashier’s check only. No personal checks will be accepted. Make checks payable to the Village of Worth. Address provided below and on application.

 

Care of Booth Space

Each night all crafters/merchants must leave their booth or areas free of debris, including empty boxes, left over garbage or materials not secured. Tents must be erected in a safe and secure manner.

 

Other Inspections

The Worth Fire Department reserves the right to inspect and hold responsible the crafter/merchants to all rules ad regulations in regard to safety. Inspections of all equipment and procedures will take place before the opening the Festival. No inappropriate or weapon-like items are allowed; no guns, no knives, no gang related products, no drug paraphernalia, no sexual items. Some restrictions may apply and are subject to the discretion of the Worth Days Commission.

 

Parking

As a courtesy, each crafter/merchant will be allowed to park one vehicle at a designated space/lot. A parking pass and parking directions will be included in your packet once full payment is received.

 

Liability

Crafter/merchant shall at all times protect, indemnify, save, and hold harmless the Village of Worth and the Worth Days Commission from any damage, liability, or expense arising from or out of any loss or injury to any property or person, including the crafter/merchant, its agents, employees, and business invitees, which arise from or out of or by reason of crafter/merchant’s occupancy and use of the Festival premises or a part thereof. The crafter/merchant is encouraged to insure itself at its own expense against property loss or damage and against liability for personal injury.

 

Taxes

Crafter/merchant shall pay all sales or other taxes, fees, assessments required by any applicable federal, state or local law in connection with the participation of Worth Days Festival. Crafter/merchant shall indemnify, defend and hold the Village of Worth and Worth Days Commission harmless for any taxes (including fess and penalties, if any) required to be paid by law.

 

Refunds and Cancellations

Request for all refunds must be made in writing to the Village of Worth. Refunds will be made only on cancellations received prior to July 15, 2005. After July 15, 2005 the Village of Worth will not be held responsible or will not reimburse any vendor or merchant for or resulting from, but not limited to the following; loss or damage due to acts of God, stolen property, vandalism or animal activity, product not selling. The Worth Days Festival 2005 will take place regardless of weather and refunds will not be issued for any reason.
