Worth Police Officers conduct proactive patrol tactics of the business and residential districts to provide for the safety of Worth residents and business communities.

The Worth Police Department prides itself on timely responses to calls for assistance. Patrol Officers monitor and enforce traffic safety on the streets of Worth. Business checks are performed regularly and crime prevention officers can provide helpful suggestions in minimizing burglary threats or limiting loss.
Helpful Ordinances
  • Curfew: The Village enforces a curfew for residents under the age of 17 years of age. Minors may not be in any public assembly, building, public place, street or highway after curfew unless accompanied by a parent or other guardian, or unless engaged in some occupation or business which such a child may, under the statues of this state, lawfully engage in. The curfew extends from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and midnight to 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
  • Snow Emergency: When 2 or more inches of snow has accumulated, it is unlawful for any person to stop, stand, park or leave unattended a motor vehicle on the streets, highways and roadways within corporate limits of the Village until such snow has been removed. Any person not complying with this ordinance is subject to a fine.
  • Open Leaf Burning: Burning is not permitted in the Village of Worth. Fire pits are permitted to burn wood. Please be courteous to your neighbors.
  • Solicitors: Solicitors for both profit and non-profit are required to register at the Police Department prior to soliciting. If their application is approved, they will be issued a permit. Please report any non-registered solicitors to the Police Department by calling 911.
