The Village of Worth currently contracts with Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) garbage company.
Service Days
The service day is Monday for homes South of 111th Street. Homes North of 111th Street will be serviced on Tuesdays. Please place your toters at the curb with the handles facing your house. Please make sure that all household garbage is out for pickup by 6 a.m. and remove toters from the curb by 6 p.m. Recycling will be collected every other week.
Holiday Schedule
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas. There will be no collection on the holiday. If the holiday falls on a weekday prior to your regular collection day, service will be delayed by one day.Electronics Recycling
Our governor has signed into law, Senate Bill 2106, which prohibits electronic waste from going to the landfill. A list of these items are as follows:

Therefore, we are not allowed to throw these items away in our trash. There are some substantial fines and penalties that are part of this legislation if this law is broken. The following are websites that give you locations of where these items may be taken to:

Smaller E-Waste items may be placed at the curb in a brown paper bag or a 24" x 24" x 24" or smaller cardboard box. Please mark the box as E-Waste. E-Waste should be separate from the refuse (garbage), recycle and yard waste containers in a noticeable location easily identifiable for the driver. Call LRS to schedule an E-Waste collection at 773-685-8811.

Yard Waste
Yard waste service is provided from April 1 through November 30. Yard waste can be placed at your pickup point in either brown Kraft Paper Bags, or in your own containers that cannot exceed 35 gallons in size, or 40 pounds in weight. Put a large "X" on your yard waste cans.
LRS will collect yard waste on the same day as your garbage/recycling pick up. There is no limit to the amount of yard waste that can be placed out for collection, so long as it's properly prepared. LRS offers yard waste carts in various sizes for $3.00 per cart, per month. Residents may use a waste container marked with an "X", no larger than 33 gallons. Residents may also use biodegradable lawn, landscape, or yard waste bags as well. Containers or bags may not exceed the 50 pound weight limit.
Brush bundles tied in biodegradable twine may not exceed 4' length, 2' width and 50 pounds. Tree limbs may not exceed 3" in diameter.
Organic food scrap may be mixed in with yard waste during the yard waste season. Organic food scrap includes: bread, cereal, coffee grounds, dairy, egg shells, eggs, fruits, grain, pasta, shells, and vegetables.
Paper Recycling
Bring your newspaper, catalogs, magazines, junk mail, office paper, school paper, notebooks and folders to the Midwest Paper Retriever bin located at St. Marks Lutheran Church on 111th St. & 76th Ave.Recycling
Recycling services will be provided every other week, For dates, please see our schedule (compliments to resident, Frank Hirsch, for making the schedule) or they can be found on our calendar.
Toters cannot be contaminated with trash! A sticker notifying the resident of contamination will be placed on the toter.
Please note: Recycling will be picked up for both the North & South side of 111th Street on April 29, 2019. That will be Republic's last day of service, so be sure to leave all your toters at the curb for them to pick up.

Both the trash and recycling toters are the property of the garbage company. If you decide to move from your current home, the toter should remain for the next resident.
