1. Does the Village want to inspect my home before I sell it?

The Building Department does not do a pre-sale inspection; however, the Water Department will need to do a final water reading. Please call 708-923-7501 to set up an appointment.

Certificate of Insurance - naming the Village of Worth as the certificate holder.
$10,000.00 Surety Bond ($25,000.00 for sign contractors)

An inspection needs to be scheduled 24-48 hours in advance by calling the Building Department at 708-923-7507.

It usually takes 1-2 days for a permit to be approved. It is longer for larger projects.
